Privacy
This website, kunikorthodontics.com, is published by Kunik Orthodontics. It has no contact form: the ways to reach the practice on it, text, phone and email links, open in your own apps, and what you send that way goes to the practice through your own carrier or mail service, not through this site.
Analytics and advertising tags
The site loads Google Analytics and the practice's Google Ads tag (the Google tag, gtag.js). They record page views, how far you scroll, and taps on the site's buttons and links (for example a tap on a phone, text, email or directions link), together with the signals Google collects on any tagged site: a client identifier in a cookie, your IP address, your browser and device, the pages viewed and the time. No name, phone number, message or health information is sent: what you type into the request composer or the Ask Kunik panel stays in your browser, and each event names only the button or link that was tapped. Google's handling of this data is set out in Google's privacy policy; Google's browser add-on opts your browser out of Google Analytics everywhere.
The site also keeps its own first-party counts for the practice: page views and taps on the phone, text and email links, with the page, the kind of device and where the visit came from, and nothing that identifies you. They go to the practice's own dashboard and nowhere else.
The Ask Kunik panel
The Ask Kunik panel answers from the text of this site, in the practice's own words. It runs entirely in your browser: it sends nothing, stores nothing and keeps no record of what you tap or type, and no one reads it. The only ways out of it are the same text, phone, email and directions links as the rest of the site, which open in your own apps. The analytics above count that the panel was opened and which of those links was tapped, never a question or a typed line.
What the site keeps in your browser
Two small preferences, in your browser's own storage: which office you last chose on the drive-up, so the page opens on it next time, and whether the opening sequence has already played in this session. They never leave your browser. Google's tags set their own cookies (_ga and the like) for the measurement described above. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of them.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (your IP address, the time and the pages requested) for security and performance under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to other services
Links to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Google Maps, the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, the American Association of Orthodontists and PubMed lead to those services' own sites and their own policies.
